Structure and Appearance of the White Widow

This strain is called “white” due to its white appearance caused by its high number of trichomes on the leaves and flowers. It is on these trichomes that the resin coating develops. The original White Widow was a product of crossing between Brazil’s Sativa landrace and an Indica hybrid from southern Indiana. Now that the Strain’s seeds have spread all over the world since its original release, there are numerous White Widow variants.

White Widow’s Growth and Yield

Our feminised White Widow has an average height of 1metres when grown indoors and up to 2 metres in an outdoor environment. The strain does well in sunny climates, but it can also grow in colder climates like the UK, Netherlands and France. The strain has an average yield of 550 to 600 g per plant when grown outdoors and 450 to 500 g/m2 when grown inside under a 600W light.

The strain flowers more quickly indoors, but it can yield better outdoors if you are a warmer climate. White Widow cannabis seeds are an perfect choice for inexperienced growers as it requires little maintenance and has a shorter growth period. The White Widow finishes flowering after nine weeks, but it can also be ready after eight weeks in some conditions.

White Widow’s Taste and Smell

White Widow has a pungent smell but can also have some fruity undertone depending on the phenotype. Though not considered flavourful, the strain can sometimes have a citrusy, flowery flavour with a slightly sugary aftertaste, thanks to the high levels of the terpenes myrcene, caryophyllene and pipene.
